Empowering Your Career Journey, Elevating Your Mental Health

Kristen pribanich, MA, lpc

Hi, I am so glad you’re here.

I founded Compass Counseling Collective because I envisioned a space where the connection between career and mental health felt understood. Like many of my clients, I too, have had a career path with many twists and unexpected turns. By embracing both the joy and messiness of my own journey, I can make space to help you in a truly transformational way.

At Compass Counseling Collective, I understand that the journey to well-being is much like navigating with a compass—finding your true north amidst life's twists and turns. Just as a compass provides direction in uncharted territory, I am here to guide you towards clarity, purpose, and fulfillment in your life.

How I work

At the core of my approach to therapy and coaching is a belief that values are your roadmap for a meaningful life.

You need to know what you stand for so you know where you’re going.

I understand that the burnout that occurs when work/life balance is off isn't just about feeling tired—it's about feeling disconnected, unfulfilled, and stretched to your limits. That's why I take a holistic approach to your well-being, addressing not only the symptoms of burnout but also the underlying causes.

Through personalized therapy or coaching sessions, we'll work together to:

  • Identify Triggers: Explore the specific factors contributing to your burnout, whether it's high-pressure deadlines, toxic work environments, or unrealistic expectations.

  • Develop Coping Strategies: Learn practical techniques to manage stress, set boundaries, and cultivate resilience in the face of workplace challenges.

  • Reconnect with Your Values: Rediscover what truly matters to you and align your career goals with your core values, helping you find renewed purpose and motivation.

  • Create Work-Life Harmony: Cultivate a healthier balance between your professional responsibilities and personal life, so you can thrive both in and out of the office.

As a clinician and coach I also believe:

You cannot get rid of uncomfortable thoughts/feelings.

Therapy/coaching is not about eliminating difficult thoughts or emotions, but rather about developing the skills and mindset to navigate them with greater ease and clarity. By utilizing tenets of ACT, we embrace the idea that pain and struggle are inevitable parts of the human experience, but suffering is optional.

Self-Compassion is the key to transformational change.

Change is HARD and we don’t have to beat ourselves up and cause more suffering. I believe that both therapy and coaching can be a sacred journey of self-discovery and self-compassion. Through compassionate exploration of thoughts, emotions, and experiences, I guide individuals in developing the skills to befriend their inner critic, navigate life's challenges with grace, and nurture a profound sense of self-worth and belonging.

You are more than your diagnosis/symptoms/challenges.

I see therapy as a collaborative journey where we explore the unique experiences, strengths, and values that define who you are beyond any diagnosis. Through the lens of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I honor your whole self—your hopes, fears, dreams, and aspirations. Together, we navigate the complexities of your inner world with compassion and curiosity, empowering you to embrace your innate resilience and capacity for growth. In our space, you are not defined by your struggles; you are celebrated for the multifaceted, extraordinary person that you are
